About Me

Driven

I am a competitor. Growing up, everything was a competition to me. Any kind of sport, board games/video games, academics, you name it, I did it and always wanted to win. In high school I played football for four years, ran track for two and played tennis for two. In football I literally never came off the field playing offense, defense, and every special teams unit. In my years of track I set the pace at 4:45 for the 1600m run though only a freshman. In tennis I played in the #1 spot and gave my high school its first birth in the IHSA state playoffs becoming the first player for Marion High School to qualify. I continued into college, playing collegiate football at Wheaton College in Chicago. Through my experience as starting cornerback and punt returner I learned to hone my skills and to perform well under pressure. I learned how to persevere when others would throw in the towel. More importantly, from my coaches and my peers I learned about how being a good sporting competitor carries over to everyday life. I realized that the dedication, perseverance, and will to succeed, that I had employed to have success on the field of competition, were the very things that would make me a successful businessman, a loyal friend, and, eventually, a good father.

Knowledgable

I am a seeker of knowledge. This desire for knowledge and experience has made me quite the traveler and adventurer. Though I am still young I have been fortunate to experience much of the world. After my senior year of high school I spent two months backpacking Europe. I visited England, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the Czech Republic. In College, I attended a mission trip to Senegal Africa where I worked at an orphanage for two weeks and was struck by the joy I saw among such poverty. It was this same adventurous spirit post college that led me to accept a job selling concrete placement equipment throughout India. During my time there I experienced many new things: prodigious wealth inequality, India’s colorful diversity, the beauty of Nepal and the Himalayas, a trip to the base camp of Mt Everest, and a visit to the extravagant middle eastern city of Dubai. Now I’m here, and on a weekly basis enjoy the beautiful places and activities the island offers. In the real estate profession, this knowledge-seeking trait, has led me to spend much of my time studying market trends in Hawaii. The challenge of predicting the ebb and flow of the market is exciting to me because I know the advantage this understanding will give my clients. Furthering my Real Estate education is of high priority to me. Whether it is in the real estate office, a foreign country, the base camp of Mt. Everest, or a surfboard in Hawaii, I seek understanding that will enrich both my life and the lives of those around me.

Listener

I am a listener. Relationally speaking, I understand listening to be of utmost importance and enjoy hearing what motivates and impassions others. Listening is something I have learned to do well in my relationships with his friends and family because they taught me by example. I was blessed to grow up in a community of good listeners and learned quickly the value of taking the time to understand others. In real estate this is proving to be a very valuable asset. As a good listener, I am able and eager to fully understand the needs and desires of my clients, which enables me to provide them with exactly the service they are looking for. Getting to know my clients and their needs is my first priority.

Micah is a tenacious realtor. He was able to communicate clearly, frequently and with urgency. He followed through every step of the way through the VA purchasing process from initiation to completion of the sale. I am extremely happy with my new condo, it has excellent rental potential and is the right home for my budget and lifestyle in the heart of Kailua Kona.
